The John Carpenter's current reputation as a spent force is undeserved, but if not done much more recently than the socks off anyone left. This is a step in the right direction of a return to full form. Amber Heard plays an amnesiac young people in a mental institution to try to understand why a ghostly apparition / zombie thing is brutally murdered his other patients. Unfortunately, the public is way ahead of it - we've seen many times before. The result is visible from a distance of a penalty if you remember how the peak expert carpenter unleashed powerful Cosa et al. However, it is a well made film, with some hits and a finely crafted pace that seems almost regal in horror these days of quick cuts.
